Death is on the Line

The movie “One Missed Call” is an old-time scare patterned with modern technology. A story about calls made to certain people informing them of the day and time each is going to die. Traced back to a mischievous child with evil ways as caught by one of those mini spy cameras hidden inside a teddy bear, this child was trying to hurt her younger sister but fortunately was prevented in time by their mother. The child was then sanctioned and locked up inside the room but due to anxiety had an asthma attack and died. Her evilness was carried until the afterlife and somehow the twist came as a surprise when the mother died from suffocation from fire and tried calling from her cellphone for help. Eventually it was presumed that even in life thereafter, the mother is still trying to prevent the child from her evil ways. Some say the movie deserved some rotten tomatoes but if it’s scare you’re after, this one is an 8.
